REPERTOIRE for the BF&VdGBC:
For the flutes:
Almost anything goes between Michel de la Barre's
1re Livre and the sonatas of CPE Bach. We'd like the focus to
be on baroque solo sonatas and unaccompanied works, but we're happy
to work on technical issues in the cantatas and oratorios of JS Bach,
the operas of Rameau, and the concertos of CPE Bach and Mozart.
There is no harpsichord at the Boot Camp, so be aware that
you won't be able to perform any sonatas with obliggato keyboard parts
in the class recital (but you'll still be able to work on the pieces
during the week).

Graded Repertoire List.
The participants are
advised to avoid editions of music that have been heavily edited by modern
flutists, and the use of modern flute anthologies of baroque music are
also similarly discouraged, if not frowned upon.
For the viols:
There will be masterclass sessions on solo viol music but
for the most part your hands will be full with the often-very-demanding
bass parts to the flute sonatas. Mssrs. Morris and Fullerton will provide
you with some repertoire suggestions upon your request.
Once you have enlisted,
we'll send you a detailed explaination of how to prepare for the week.
