January 28 & 29, 2005
Flutes in Flight: A musical high wire act without a net!
International early music superstars Jed Wentz and Matthias Maute join Kim Pineda, Margriet Tindemans, and Jillon Stoppels Dupree, in a program of virtuosic and sublime music from the 18th century. Music by Bach (of course!), Telemann (goes without saying), Handel (he is good, isn't he?), Fasch (didn't he turn down Bach's job in Leipzig?), and a few surprises.

On Saturday morning, January 29 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Mr. Maute will direct a recorder workshop, open to all playing levels.

The musical theme of the workshop is Music of Paradise and Hell, from the 16th through 20th centuries.

The workshop will be held at:
Wedgwood Presbyterian Church
8008 35th Ave NE
Seattle
Cost: $40.00.

To reserve a place in the workshop, call or e-mail Baroque Northwest at 206/368-0735, or baroque@baroquenorthwest.com.
