Music by Francois Couperin, Georg Philipp Telemann, and Turlough Carolan in the Italian style. Included on the program are "La Piemontoise" from Les Nations, by Couperin, Concertos I & II from Six Quatours by Telemann, and "Carolan's Concerto," by Carolan. This concert includes a live demonstration, with a volunteer from the audience, on the differences between the German, French, and Italian styles.
First performed in our first season in 1993, this program was performed at the BLoomington Early Music Festival -- BLEMF 95, May 27, 1995 -- and at the Boston Early Music Festival--BEMF, June 15, 1995, as a concurrent event
