Baroque dancer Anna Mansbridge performs Jean-Féry Rebel's
compendium of baroque dance, and New York-based soprano Kristin
Gould performs two cantatas by Louis-Nicholas Clérambault,
"Apollon, cantate pour la paix," and "L'Isle de Delos" from
Cantates Françoises, Livre 3, 1716.
In Les Caractères de la danse, 11 different baroque
dances are performed in sequence without interruption, ending with
a virtuoso sonata movement for the instruments. The "back up"
band for our solo performeres is Kim Pineda, transverse
flute, David Wilson, violin, Elizabeth Brown,
archlute and baroque guitar, August Denhard, theorbo,
and William Skeen and Ronn Fullerton, violas da gamba.
